About Introduction to Psychology
What do people fear the most? What does our dream mean? Are we inherent racists? What makes us happy? What are the causes and remedies for mental illness? This course attempts to answer these and many other questions by providing a comprehensive overview of the scientific study of thought and behavior. It explores topics such as perception, communication, learning, memory, decision making, persuasion, emotion and social behavior. We will look at how these aspects of the mind develop in children, how they differ from humans, how they are connected to the wires in the brain, and how they break down due to illness and trauma.
Instructor of this course
Paul Bloom. He is a Professor of Psychology and Cognitive Science at very famous Yale University.
